The 250mm soda glass desiccator with knobbed lid from the Labbox premium line is a large, general purpose desiccator made from soda-lime glass and supplied with a porcelain plate. This high visibility glass desiccator is intended for drying and storing bulkier items or larger batches of moisture sensitive samples at room temperature.
Providing an internal capacity of around 6L, the 250mm premium desiccator is ideal for shared labs and busier environments. The soda-lime glass body offers high light transmission so you can check samples and desiccant levels without opening the vessel, whilst its smooth, non-porous surface is easy to clean between runs. The robust knobbed lid gives you a secure hold when lifting or repositioning the cover, which is particularly useful with heavier desiccators. The porcelain plate supports multiple vessels or larger pieces above the desiccant bed, helping to maintain a uniform dry atmosphere for efficient desiccation. This desiccator is designed for room temperature use and is not suitable for sudden temperature changes or highly corrosive chemicals.
